The Object of My Affectioncategory: Love | February 17 | @267 |
A person I hold dear, deep within my heart,
My love cannot be told, secrecy set's us apart.
As much as I may want to tell, I can't, it won't come out,
This object of my affection is unknown, I am without.
They pass by me, day by day,
Looking, I dare not to speak,
For I am not of their friends,
Our groups are quite unique.
Inadvertent, my love is pure, incisive, strong,
Unable to express myself, my feelings are lewd, pestilent, yet, not wrong.
As much as I may tell myself "keep quite, dare don't speak,"
I fear someday soon my talking will make an ultimate defeat.
As I sit silent, lone in my room,
I wonder just how long I can stand...
